Eminem Pranks Fans With Fake Infinite 2 Album Release Announcement

Eminem trolls fans with a fake album announcement on April fools’ day.

It’s April fools’ day worldwide today, and Eminem decided to celebrate with a fake announcement of a new album.

The rapper shared an announcement clip on his social media, which featured comments from fans asking him to drop the album, before revealing that he released “Infinite 2”, a sequel to his debut album. However, everyone realised that it was an April Fools prank, and no project was released on streaming services.

“This Gonna be an April Fools joke,” a fan wrote. “We know it’s April 1st but come on em,” states another. “Damn I checked Spotify fast af,” wrote another. “F–king genius, I almost believed it.” “There’s no way we just got April fooled by Em.” “I skipped my heartbeat only to realize it was an April fool joke!”

While it was a prank, the rapper is indeed planning to drop a new album this year, as it was recently revealed by Dr. Dre. “Eminem is working on his own album which is coming out this year,” said Dre in a recent interview. “And I actually talked to him and he said it was okay for me to make that announcement right here on this show. I’ve got songs on it and it’s fire. I’m actually going hear the entire album for the first time tomorrow and he holds his music close to his chest so I haven’t hear everything, I haven’t even heard everything complete that I’ve done but I’m going to hear it and he’s putting out an album this year.”

It’s been four years since Eminem last dropped an album when he dropped his eleventh studio effort “Music To Be Murdered By” in 2020, and a deluxe side b edition in the same year.
