Eminem honours the late DJ Kay Slay on Shade 45.
Earlier this month, the New York City legend DJ Kay Slay passed away on Easter Sunday after a long battle with Covid-19. The 55-year-old had been in the hospital for four months after catching the deadly virus.
The rap community had been giving tributes, and now Eminem also took to his social media to honour the Hip-Hop legend. “R.I.P. Legend. We will miss you,” he wrote. The Detroit rapper also made an appearance on Shade 45, where he paid homage to Kay Slay.
“Yo, this is Eminem,” he said. “Just want to say rest in peace to one of our family members here in Shade 45. Kay Slay, The Drama King, who has been with us since the beginning. It was honor to know you bro, on behalf of everybody here at the station, just wanna say, to the legend, Drama King, we love you bro. We gonna miss you, rest in peace my friend.”
