Eminem's Curtain Call Becomes First Hip-Hop Project To Spent 600 Weeks On Billboard 200

Eminem earns a historical milestone on Billboard.

Ahead of his 50th birthday next week, Eminem has now earned a historical milestone on Billboard. The Detroit rapper’s greatest hits collection “Curtain Call” has spent a milestone 600 weeks on Billboard 200 Chart, at #35 this week. The album now becomes the first hip-hop project in history to reach the milestone and the sixth album overall.

The album which was dropped back in 2005, includes Eminem’s greatest tracks like “My Name Is”, “Stan”, “Lose Yourself”, “Without Me”, “The Real Slim Shady” and more. Earlier this year, the project earned Eminem his sixth RIAA Diamond after selling 10 million units in the US.

Last week, Drake joined Eminem and Kendrick Lamar as the rapper with albums over 500 weeks on Billboard 200 as his 2011 project “Take Care” hit the milestone. Kendrick Lamar’s “Good Kid Maad City” is the second most charted project in Billboard 200 history with 519 weeks.

Recently, Eminem released Curtain Call 2 the second greatest hits album. The collection spans Eminem’s career from his comeback to music after a break, beginning with the launch of Relapse in 2009. The disc also features three new songs: “The King and I” featuring CeeLo Green (used on the soundtrack of the film Elvis), “From the D 2 the LBC” featuring Snoop Dogg, and “Is This Love (’09)” starring 50 Cent.
