E-40 talks his statement on Eminem about Busta Rhymes Verzuz.
Mount Westmore, the supergroup of Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Too Short and E-40 dropped their debut album “Snoop Cube 40 Short”, and they made a visit to Bootleg Kev Podcast as part of the promo run. During the conversation, the host asked them about a collab they would love to do that never happened.
“I would say, Jay-Z, Nas, Q-Tip, KRS One, Missy. I’d love to do a song with Eminem,” said E-40.
The California rapper then addresses his previous remarks about Eminem, where he stated that Busta Rhymes would eat the Detroit emcee in a Verzuz battle. “I wanted to address the Eminem situation. A lot of his fans thought that I was dissing him. No, I could never do that,” he said. “He’s one of the greatest MCs that ever did it and got away with it. He does his job. Somebody had asked me who would win in a Verzuz battle between Eminem and Busta Rhymes, and I said Busta Rhymes. Because Verzuz is about a live performance. I was not knocking Eminem. Busta got a lot of hits and he’ll get the party going. That’s all I meant. I was not trying to diss. I would never diss Eminem he’s one of the greats if not the great.”
Earlier this year, E-40 appeared on Jalen & Jacoby podcast, where he said: “The person that no one wanna see in a Verzuz battle, I’mma keep it real and I love Eminem. Busta Rhymes would eat Eminem in a Verzuz battle. I really believe that. Busta Rhymes goes crazy. Because, now, it’s turned into a performance type of situation. Busta Rhymes is animated. He got gas. He raps fast, all that. He do all that stuff that Eminem do. And Busta Rhymes got up-tempo slaps that get the party goin’. Anytime you got up-tempo slaps, you’re gonna win. Eminem is so legendary. You know, definitely. Can’t take nothing away from him. Great hits, great style…I mean, he’s legendary, he’s a icon.”

Given that he proposed the event on Dr. Dre’s Instagram page, Swizz is obviously receptive to an Eminem vs. Busta Verzuz fight. Marshall Mathers vs Who???! was the description on a video Dre mentioned in the attached this week of Slim Shady spitting bars quickly.
And it appears that Swizz had only one candidate in mind: “BUSTA!!!!!!!!!!! “Let’s go,” he said.
