Drake Celebrates Lil Yachty's 25th Birthday On His Private Jet Air Drake

Lil Yachty celebrates his 25th birthday in the air.

Drake is known for going all out for his friends’ birthdays and the Certified Lover Boy gives a grand treatment to Lil Yachty who turned 25 on 23rd August.

The Atlanta rapper shared pictures of his birthday, which was celebrated on Drizzy’s private jet “Air Drake” which was designed by late designer Virgil Abloh. “biG brO sAiD i dOnT gOtTa fLy dElTa nMorRe¡,” wrote Yachty, with a picture of him having chicken wings and spite with the Toronto rap star. In other pictures, Yachty poses in front of Drake’s jet and matches with the blue outfit.

After the celebration, Yachty decided to honour his good friend Drake as he inked an OVO owl tattoo on his wrist, which was shared on his IG story.

Drake and Lil Yachty collaborated in 2020 on the song titled “Oprah’s Bank Account” along with DaBaby. The rapper revealed that he originally wanted Lizzo on the song, but she never responded so he took Drake. “It’s so crazy because I originally wanted to put Lizzo on it,” he told Complex. “I sent it to her, and I don’t want to say she didn’t like it, because she never got back to me on it, which was cool. I understand people are busy.”

He continued, “And then I posted a snippet on my finsta. Drake follows my finsta, which is crazy. And he was like, ‘Yo, this is dope,’ which blew my mind. Of course that’s the homie, but him showing love like that, [was cool]. Then he [told me to] send it through. I didn’t know he was serious, but he got on it.”

In one of the photos, it can be seen that Drake’s plane features beige leather seats, mirrors, and gold trim on the walls. Due to his new obsession with Maybach merchandise, Drake sported a black hat with the Mercedes-Maybach badge on it.

Although the jet’s flooring is not shown, it is known that it is entirely carpeted; nonetheless, we do catch a peek of the velvet sofas. The late Virgil Abloh, the art director of Louis Vuitton and a personal friend of Drake, gave the aircraft a complete makeover in 2020.
