Corey Taylor Takes Shots At Weird Substitute Teacher Machine Gun Kelly

Corey Taylor revisits his feud with Machine Gun Kelly.

A few months, Machine Gun Kelly and Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor traded shots, and now the Des Moines born vocalist revisits the feud during the set at 2022 ShipRocked Festival Cruise. While doing a Q&A session with the crowd, Taylor was asked about the situation with the rapper turned pop-funk artist.

“For those of you that don’t know, MGK doesn’t like me very much. And let me follow that up by saying I don’t care,” he said. “I won’t fill you in on the whole f**king story because you can go online and look it all up. However, I will say this- he maintains that I started it. The truth is he started it. Now, I will explain to you why.”

He continues, “You don’t get to walk into a genre with the history, with the work- The fact that this genre really doesn’t get the f**king respect that it deserves. You don’t get to walk in as some weird substitute teacher and pretend that you can tell us what to wear – boots, shoes, house f**king shoes, slippers. Why don’t you suck every inch of my d**k? You don’t get to do that. And these are bands that maybe I don’t even f**king know, but guess what? I f**king respect them because they get on f**king stage and they f**king give every f**king thing they’ve got.”

Previously, MGK ignited the feud with Slipknot at Riot Fest at Douglass Part in Chicago, where he took shots at them for wearing masks at the age of 50. “Hey, you all know what I’m really happy that I’m not doing? Being 50-years-old, wearing a f***in weird mask on a f***in stage.” Kelly later claimed that the “lowa” band started the whole thing, and he just responded to them. He also revealed that he linked up with Corey Taylor for a collab for “Tickets to My Downfall” album, but his verse was “f**king terrible” so it didn’t make the final cut.

After the revelations from the Cleveland artist, Corey Taylor also retaliates as he shared screenshots of his conversation with Travis Barker. The mail showed that MGK praised the contribution from Taylor and he was “stoked” to have him on the album. “I don’t like people airing private s**t like a child. So this is all I’ll say: I didn’t do the track because I don’t like when people try to ‘write’ for me. I said no to them. So without further ado…. #receipts. This is all I’m going to say about it,” wrote Corey.

Taylor was enraged, according to MGK, since the Ohio-based musician rejected down a lyric Taylor had written for Kelly’s upcoming record because it was bad. Since the feud began, Slipknot fans have been putting their hands on MGK’s helmet. Shortly later, he was booed at a rock event. A few weeks later, he was pelted with bottles and branches at another music event.
