Cordae Praises Eminem, Calls Him Biggest Rap Artist Of All Time

Cordae talks about Eminem collaboration on the new album.

Cordae just dropped his brand new studio album “From A Bird’s Eye View“, which featured 14 tracks with guest appearances from Lil Wayne, Gunna, Lil Durk, Nas, Freddie Gibbs and more. The album also had a feature from Eminem on the song called “Parables (Remix)“, and it is their second collaboration after last year’s “Killer” Remix. The North Carolina rapper did a virtual interview with Hot 97’s Nessa, where he was asked about how he connected with the Detroit Rapper for their new joint.

“I think ni**as is lying and just salty because they not winning when they say that,” says the Maryland native, referring to former famous beefs other hip-hop artists have taken up with the institution. “When I win my Grammys, I’m going to be there and I’m going to accept it and I’m going to be grateful and have infinite gratitude and, you know, be very appreciative of the moment.”

“Eminem, I see him did an interview [with KXNG Crooked] and he was like ‘I really rock with Cordae and nd he’s one of my favourite new artists,’,” said Cordae at the 7:00 minute mark. “Em was basically showing me a lot of love and the fact that he knew who I am and know my music that I put out, that was already enough for me. He reached out to put me on “Killer Remix” [with Jack Harlow] and I was like yo I’m gonna send you something as well. We had a phone conversation. we talked for like an hour and a half. It was a really dope conversation. We were just talking about Hip-Hop and everything man. It was a great conversation and he was like yo we got to work too you know If you need something. We didn’t talk about music until like the very end and he was like yo whatever you need from me I got you, we definitely gotta get in some work so It was very dope.”

He continues, “Eminem is like the biggest, in terms of pure sales and success, like he’s the biggest rap artist of all time. He was like one of my early influences in music. Those first two albums man, like every artist that raps with some sort of dexterity or lyricism, takes notes from those first two albums I guarantee. Matter of fact, I just text him, I sent him a voicemail like I appreciate you, bro.”

Corade’s most recent release sold an estimated 20,000 album-equivalent copies. The figure was strong enough to place at No. 20 on the Billboard 200 list, but it fell short of expectations and behind The Lost Boy, which debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard 200 chart with an estimated 25,000 album-equivalent units earned.
