Cordae Says His Debut Debut The Lost Boy Is Better Than Latest From A Birds Eye View

Cordae picks “The Lost Boy” over “From A Bird’s Eye View”.

Earlier this year, Cordae dropped his second studio album “From A Birds Eye View“, but the project failed to live up to fans’ expectations. The project moved 20k equivalent units in the first week and debuted in the top 20 on Billboard 200. The Critics and fans stated that his debut album “The Lost Boy” was better than this one, and now the rapper admits it as well.

The Raleigh, North Carolina rapper took to his social media and revealed that he went through both of his studio albums during recent 4 hour road trip, and found out his debut effort is indeed better. “Yo so I just drove on a lil 4 hour road trip and listened to both my albums front to back,” he wrote. “And f**k I must say it’s most definitely “The Lost Boy > FABEV lmaooo. My bad y’all. Ima do better next time. I got sumn to prove.”

“FABEV is dope, but Lost Boy is a classic. It’s like the games The Documentary for me. No skips,” a fan wrote. “The lost boy is hands down one of the best debut albums,” said another. “Man it be like that sometimes,” wrote Royce da 5’9″.

Nevertheless, since the album’s release, the North Carolina-born rapper has reached exhilarating new heights of success. In April, he gave his first-ever TED Talk, in which he talked about the need of keeping “The Hi-Level Thought,” which now seems to be directly relevant to his mindset behind his underwhelming sophomore LP.

“The Hi-Level Mindset made me think, ‘Man, these misfortunes are just going to make my triumph story a lot cooler,” he said in April. “I used this as fuel to the fire, motivation if you will. It made me think, life is just a book, not every chapter is going to be perfect, but it’s about how it ends.”

Commercially, From a Bird’s Eye View did rather well. Eminem, Lil Wayne, Gunna, Lil Durk, Freddie Gibbs, Roddy Ricch, Stevie Wonder, H.E.R., and Ant Clemons all had cameos on the album, which debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard 200.
