Billboard Reveals The Top R&B Hip-Hop Artists of 2010s

Billboard reveals Top Artists of the Decade.

Just like other music platforms, Billboard also shares its year-end list of 2020, which features Top Artists, Top Rap Albums, Top R&B/Hip-Hop Artists, and more. Along with the lists for 2020, they also decided to reveal their Top Artists of this past decade.

The Top Artist of 2010s is the Toronto rap star Drake, who has 40 top 10 hits, 7 of which reached No. 1. Drake, who tops the Top Artists of the 2010s ranking on Billboard, will be honored with the Artist of the Decade Award at the May 23 Billboard Music Awards in 2021. The 2010s’ top musicians from Nos. 6 through 100 were previously disclosed by Billboard, as well as the decade’s top performers in the genres of country, rock, R&B/hip-hop, Latin, Christian, gospel, dance/electronic, and all-genre touring. He is followed by Rihanna at number 2 and Chris Brown took the third spot.

Nicki Minaj maintains her reign as rap’s queen, with 17 top 10 Hot 100 songs and the most Hot 100 hits among women (105). “Super Bass,” “Starships,” “Bang Bang” with Jessie J and Ariana Grande, and “Side to Side” with Grande were her biggest Hot 100 singles in the 2010s.

Post Malone ranks fifth, courtesy of two Billboard 200 No. 1 albums and four Hot 100 No. 1 singles, including “Sunflower” with Swae Lee, “Rockstar” with 21 Savage, and “Wow.” “Sunflower” also ties the record for the most weeks spent in the top ten of the Hot 100. (33). The Weeknd comes in the sixth position, with three No. 1 Hot 100 songs and three No. 1 Billboard 200 albums, including “The Hills,” “Can’t Feel My Face,” “Starboy,” and “Earned It.”

DJ Khaled, H.E.R., and Migos kicked off the Billboard Awards with a joint performance, bringing the concert feel back to life a year after live events were cancelled due to the epidemic. Doja Cat and SZA performed their major hit “Kiss Me More” inside the arena, which was nearly empty, surrounded by futuristically clad backing dancers.
