Since releasing Renaissance, Beyoncé has made some changes to the album. She revised certain lyrics in “Heated” to remove ableist language. In addition, she removed an interpolation of Kelis’ “Milkshake” from “Energy” after Kelis revealed that she had not been informed by Beyoncé or her team about the use of her music in the new album. Finally, Beyoncé decided to not include Honey Dijon and Madonna remixes of “Break My Soul.”

Beyonce’s seventh studio album topped the US Charts with 332k equivalent album units in the first week. She became the most nominated artist for the upcoming 2023 Grammy Awards with 9 nods.
