ASAP Rocky detained at Los Angeles Airport for last year’s shooting.
ASAP Rocky, real name Rakim Mayers has been arrested at the Los Angeles International Airport. According to NBC News, the rapper was returning from Barbados on a private plane, where he was on a vacation with his girlfriend Rihanna. Rocky’s attorney, Alan Jackson, revealed that he was arrested in connection to November 2021 shooting.

ASAP had been under investigation by the LA Police Department for a November 6th shooting near Vista Del Mar and Selma Ave. It was reported that the victim stated that Mayers approached him with two other man, shot him three to four times, and grazed his left hand.
According to a tweet from the LAPD on Wednesday, Rocky was a part of an ongoing investigation into a shooting on Nov. 6 in which an argument escalated and “resulted in the suspect discharging a firearm at the victim.” According to authorities, the victim was treated for minor injuries and got medical care. Rocky and two other guys allegedly fled the area on foot, according to police. “Detectives worked diligently to investigate and corroborate the reporting information which helped identify the suspect(s) involved,” police said in the statement.
