Treach Says He Will Only Do A Solo Album If Eminem Collaborates

Treach Wants To Do A Solo Album with Eminem’s label.

The legendary Treach recently sat down with Sway In The Morning where he revealed that he wants to work with Eminem. Now the Naughty by Nature rapper did another Shade 45 interview, this time on VIP Saturdays where he was asked about what does he think about Eminem calling him the reason to start rap.

Amazing, amazing. When we were in the game to come out hip hop was a culture,” says Treach at around the 24:30 minute mark. “Even if you ain’t coming out rapping, you were DJing, breakdancing, doing graffiti, you were doing something. We know our legends, Run DMC, LL Cool J, Public Enemy, Slick Rick, these are idols. So when you have one of the hottest to do it and come up and he gives you your props, it sounds amazing. I call him my light-skinned twin right there. Nobody can tell you ‘Eminem was a white boy, he came out because he wrote all the white folks stuff’ No, no, no, no, no. This is what I’mma tell you. My bro-bro has been calling me out and giving me props for a while. I’m telling y’all something. Never in my career ever have I did a solo album. But I’ve got catalogs for years. I want to release it but I ain’t gonna release it to nobody unless Em put it out. He called me out, now I’mma call him out.

Treach collaborated with fellow Naughty by Nature members Vin Rock and DJ Kay Gee on Naughty by Nature. Treach shared verses on songs with Vin Rock on occasion, although he was typically the lone performer on the song, notably on the group’s earlier albums. Some of the group’s most well-known hits from their self-titled second album, such as “O.P.P.” and “Ghetto Bastard,” are examples of this.

He continues, “Never done, never even attempted to do a solo album. I’ve got heat rocks. And the only one to put it out, the only one I trust to do it with labels and all the rest of that, it’s somebody who really got love for me and it’ll only go through him. So if he wants the offer he got it, if he doesn’t y’all will never hear the solo album from me. In a minute, In a heartbeat, It will also be the first time you hear me and him on a record cause you know Em gonna be all on the album.

Naughty By Nature Treach was recently asked about being mentioned as one of Eminem’s favourite rappers during a live broadcast he did with Fat Joe. “Eminem says that you’re his favorite rapper, what does that feel like, when you got somebody so lyrical, a GOAT like Eminem saying you’re his favorite rapper.”

“I mean it makes me feel like I did my job,” says Treach. “Anybody that I admire, all the fans and the millions of records and the tours worldwide and everything. It’s shows like we did something so when you hear from the caliber, it just humbles you. We kick it back and forth, Eminem for his birthday, my birthdays, we be kicking in it. So It’s like mutual respect. He’s one of the dopest of all times, hands down. And It’s showing how the culture is so great, It expands, It brings everybody together, all races, Hip-Hop brings everybody together.”

Treach is one of the reasons Eminem began rapping, according to him. He’s also admitted that he was on the verge of quitting rapping because he never imagined he’d be so talented.

The Naughty By Nature spitter is grateful for the compliments and wishes to repay Em. At this moment, all we can do is hope that Eminem accepts Treach’s offer, since the music they would create together is nothing less of legendary — especially for hip-hop fans.
