The Game Praise Kendrick Lamar's New Mr. Morale Album, Calls It Incredible

The Game shows love for Kendrick Lamar’s new project.

The Game has been prepping the release of his long-awaited new album “DRILLMATIC“, which is already pushed back a couple of times with no confirmed date yet. The rapper is on the promo run, as he now sat down with HipHopDX for a new interview. In the session, he was asked about his fellow Compton legend Kendrick Lamar, and his latest album “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers“.

“I always knew Kendrick could be Kendrick,” he said. “And Kendrick knew Kendrick could be Kendrick, so that’s pretty much why he is who he is, and why he’s done everything he’s been able to accomplish. Now, which would be considered the prime of his career, the ‘Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers’ album is incredible to me. As is all his projects — love how artistic his mind is when it comes to putting out these projects. I love that he never strays from where his heart is at the time and moment when he creates his projects.”

He continued, “And so, I’m always going to give him the love he deserves because I watched it first hand. I was there, early Kendrick, I was there in Top Dawg’s Crib, in the studio in the basement. Watching him, watching this flower grow. So Kendrick is always going to be one of my favorites. Again, one of those big brother, little brother relationships.”

The Game Reveals Jay-Z Cleared 7 Samples For His Album “Drillmatic”

A few weeks back, The Game praised albums from Pusha T, Denzel Curry, Vince Staples and others, while stating that his project will be the best of this year. “#Drillmatic though…. I can honestly say nothing rap related will be able to stand next to this in 2022. When it drops, I promise you that if you put your ear to it you will then understand why I’m the best rapper alive. My controversy has always stepped on my greatness, but that’s all about to change. This album has a strong hold on being the best album of my career. It’s just different… the last time I pulled over & wrote in my car was “I don’t need your love” on The Documentary. Only thing is, back then it was a U-Haul. Today I pulled over the G-Wagon on Labrea because I couldn’t believe how dope the shit in my head was…. I’m parked & I’m not moving until this last song is written & completed.”

Even though the Compton residents are inseparable, there also seems to be some sibling rivalry there. The Game declared himself the legitimate winner of the city’s award for the finest rapper still alive in February of last year, thereby putting Kendrick Lamar to rest.

“Can’t nobody in Compton out-rap Game,” he said. “Can’t nobody in Compton out-rap me. Kendrick my ni**a. Kendrick doing his sh*t. I love that n-gga to death. I flew past Kendrick when that ni**a was on foot in a Range Rover and showed him how to do this s**t. Don’t play. Don’t play with Game name. Compton, n***a. Hardest n***a in Compton, rapping, lyricist, me. Any ni**a that say any different, I’ll body him and any ni**a he f**k with.”

The Game and Kendrick Lamar’s collaboration on the song “The City” from The R.E.D. Album in 2012 marked the beginning of their friendship.
