Soulja Boy Says Kanye West Disrespected His Work of Art, Calls Yeezus Album Trash

Soulja Boy again takes shots at Kanye West.

Soulja Boy and Kanye West are on good terms now after the DONDA rapper personally reached out to Big Draco. Kanye West texted Soulja that he should’ve told him that he wasn’t gonna be on “DONDA”. Soulja Boy accepted Ye’s Apology as “that’s what he wanted to hear” and then bragged about being the first rapper to get an apology from the GOOD Music boss.

Soulja was asked about the Donda-centered feud after some discussion earlier in the interview about his confusion over whether Ye and Kim Kardashian West had formalized their divorce, including Soulja suggesting that people should be “mad at Pete Davidson” instead of him over his comments about the SKIMS co-founder.

When asked about his response if Ye had informed him privately that he wasn’t content with his verse, Soulja said he would “never be upset” by such an evaluation because it’s all part of the process. He does, however, feel that being able to communicate such information in a direct manner is a valuable ability. Soulja took a less understanding tone after that, even bringing up Kanye West’s iconic 2013 Yeezus album in the conversation. Soulja stated that Ye was “selfish as a motherf**ker” for not maintaining his verse on Donda. Instead, he said that Yeezy should have let the audience decide. When asked to expand on whether he believes artists should be “selfish” about their work at the 10-minute mark, Soulja continued, eventually appearing to suggest that the aforementioned album is “crap” while attempting to make a point about how Ye openly dissed his “Remote Control” line.

However, Soulja Boy is still not okay after Kanye West said that his DONDA verse wasn’t good. Soulja Boy appeared on The Breakfast Club earlier today, and addressed his situation with Kanye West. “Alright so check this out right, Kanye, you dropped the most trash… you ain’t never dropped a trash song in your life?” yelled Soulja Boy. “So that motherf**kin’ Yeezus album wasn’t trash?”

The hosts Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy responded and said that they didn’t like Yeezus either. “So who am I to come to you and say, ‘Kanye, Yeezus was trash’ I know [I can say that] but I’m not finna say that. I’ma keep it G and just listen to it a couple more times, like, ‘Maybe he was tryna go this way wit’ it,’ I’ma give it a couple more listens than just publicly disrespect somebody’s work of art.”

“Everything I put out is fire… What I’m trying to say is, though, Kanye West, when you’re making your album, be more open, bruh. What you think is trash is probably hard as f–k to a hundred million people. Why you think I’m number 1?”
