Real White Boy Rick is Honored By Eminem Portraying Him in 50 Cent's BMF Series

Real-life “White Boy Rick” reacts to Eminem playing him in the upcoming 50 Cent’s “BMF” show.

A couple of days ago, it was revealed that Eminem will make an appearance on TV, as he’s going to make a cameo in the upcoming 50 Cent show “BMF”. Eminem is set to appear in one episode of the 50 Cent production and will play the role of “White Boy Rick”. Rick Wershe Jr., aka White Boy Rick, was an FBI informant in his early teens when he sold drugs and guns as part of a Detroit gang. Then he was dumped by the feds at 17 and arrested for cocaine possession. He was sentenced to life in prison, but eventually paroled and released in June 2020, at the age of 50.

Now the real-life “White Boy Rick” himself responds to the news of Eminem playing him on the upcoming show and said that it’s an honor for him. “It’s Eminem, so that’s an honor to have him portray me in a series,” said Rick. “He was actually one of the first people to looking to do a movie about me so it’s pretty cool that later down the line he gets to take on this role. Before this all came about, If you look at my Instagram, I wore a “Free Big Meech” shirt before this was even in work so I was always been a supporter of his. I don’t believe anybody should get 30 years for a non-violent crime.

I don’t think I’ve to tell him [Eminem] anything at all, he’s professional. Everything he does he does very well. I mean his music speaks for itself. He’s an icon, he’s a legend. This for him would be a small thing. I think he’ll kill it, whatever he does man. I am a fan, it’s an honor to have him do it. He’s a Detroit legend, I have a huge name here. So from one Detroiter to another, you know, just kill it.

The upcoming Starz show “BMF” is inspired by the true story of two brothers, Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory, who rose from the streets of Southwest Detroit in the late 1980s.

The famed Flenory brothers Demetrius “Big Meech” and Terry “Southwest T” and their family’s criminal organization are the focus of “Black Mafia Family,” which was shot in Detroit and Atlanta. Big Meech will be played by his real-life son, Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr., and the series will also include Da’Vinchi, Russell Hornsby, Michole Briana White, Snoop Dogg, La La Anthony, and others.
