Nick Cannon Names Eminem In His Top 5 Favorite Rappers The Man Is A Beast

Nick Cannon once again honours Eminem.

It’s been a couple of years, since Eminem and Nick Cannon’s decade-old feud was finally squashed, with some help from Royce Da 5’9″ and Fat Joe. “And Honestly, I gotta keep it a stack, this brother [Fat Joe] right here helped end the beef with me and Eminem on his show. And it wasn’t no ‘real beef’ but Joe was like, ‘I gotta get you two brothers together, man.’,” said Cannon about Joe.

Ever since then, the rapper and actor often shows praise for the Detroit MC, and now once again he named him one of his favourite hip-hop artists. “I know the one that always shocks everybody, No. 5, Marshall Mathers, Eminem,” Nick said in a new interview with XXL. “I gotta give props and respect and credit. The man is a beast. Because the criteria of top five for me is obviously numbers, obviously skill, flow, storytelling ability or message. And I’d even have to say lyricism based off of bars, how you put it all together. And that dude checks all those boxes. So, I definitely give him No. 5.”

Nick Cannon Laughs At His Feud With Eminem Before Listing Top 5 Diss Tracks

He continued, “Andre 3000, four. Slick Rick. [I] think Rick still holds my No. 3. My No. 3 is questionable because I’ma be honest, I want to go Slick Rick or Drake…Two is Tupac and No. 1 is Jay-Z.”

Some may find Nick’s inclusion of Eminem on his list unexpected, given that the two were formerly embroiled in a protracted feud. Their problems began in 2009, while Nick was still married to diva Mariah Carey. In his song “Bagpipes From Bagdad,” Shady made fun of the pair. This ended in Em and Nick exchanging shots, as well as a suggested boxing battle.

In 2019, Eminem resurrected the feud by dissing Nick Cannon on Fat Joe’s “Lord Above.” Nick Cannon responded with a series of diss songs and interviews in which he called out the Detroit rapper. Nick finally put the feud behind him and even stated in 2020 that he would want to meet with him.
