Watch Jack Harlow's Bucket List Interview With Nardwuar

Nardwuar links up with Jack Harlow for the latest interview session.

Following the recent interview with J. Cole that was promised a couple of years ago, the legendary Nardwuar is back with another conversation, this time with Kentucky hitmaker Jack Harlow. The interview kicked off with J. Cole singing the show’s intro, took place in Malibu, California.

“I manifested this,” said Harlow on his “Bucket List” interview. “I used to be in my bedroom, watching Nardwuar interviewing the artists I looked up to. I get chills thinking about. Nardwuar is someone I grew up on, and I always said, ‘One day, I’m gonna do a Nardwuar interview.’ I said it, and it happened because I wanted it to happen. It’s amazing. Thank you.”

The episode, which started with J. Cole performing the show’s theme song, touched on a variety of issues, but it was largely centred on Harlow’s hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. Just seconds into the encounter, Nardwuar handed Harlow a vinyl record of A Tribe Called Quest’s 1996 hit “1nce Again.” Harlow acknowledged his mother with introducing him to ATCQ, and stated that “1nce Again” was one of his favourite songs.

Nardwuar asked Harlow about doing the show in his hometown Vancouver. “What about Vancouver, BC? Did you play Fortune Sound Club?” said Nardwuar. “Couple times,” said Harlow. “I did it one time and there were so few people there, they didn’t let me use the stage. They made me perform on the ground like this, literally eye level with my fans. I can’t wait to get back to Vancouver. I love the energy, I love the weather, I love the women, I love the vibrations.”
