Danny Brown Trashes New York Drill Rappers For Sounding Like Batman That Sht Ain't Fire

Danny Brown gives his opinion on the current scene of New York Drill Music, and the Detroit emcee states all the rapper sounds like Batman. During the latest episode of his podcast The Danny Brown Show, the rapper sat down with the latest special guest producer JEPG Mafia.

During one of the parts of the podcast where fans submitted freestyles, Brown fires shots at New York Drill rappers. “I got some funny sh*t for rap, I wanna say, what’s up with New York drill music?” he asked around the 48-minute mark. “What you mean?” JPEG responds.

“Why all these ni**as sound like Batman?” he continued. “All these ni**as rap like Batman Beyond what the f**k is wrong with y’all ni**as man? That sh*t ain’t fire. You know they all wanna be like a demon. Ni**a you 16 your balls ain’t even dropped yet. You ain’t even got a deep voice yet. These ni**as rapping like villains.”

“I just wanted to say that man. All you New York drill ni**as rapping like Batman Begins man that sh*t is over with man. Pop Smoke, that was his natural voice man, but all y’all 16… ni**a if you don’t shut the f**k up man. Shouts out to real New York rappers like MIKE, you know what I’m saying.”

Towards the end of the episode, Brown and JPEGMAFIA revealed that they have a joint project in the works called Scarin’ The H*es, Vol. 1, set to release later this year. They also debuted the album’s first single, “Lean Beef Patty,” which can be heard at approximately the 56-minute mark of the video above.
