50 Cent Reveals Eminem's New Collab with Nas Inspired Him To Write Again

Eminem inspired 50 Cent to write new music again.

50 Cent hasn’t been that active in the music, as the “POWER” mogul is focussing on his other ventures for years, including the new show “BMF”. He recently appeared on People in 10 for a new interview, where was asked about the one thing that continues to inspire him to make music.

When Em does that stands out to me, that is special. Like he just had a performance on Nas’s album [King’s Disease 2], recently came out, it made me want to record again,” says 50. “Because of my connection to it, and he sounded so good on the record that I was like ‘y’all gotta write something. I gotta go sit down and just write something, so I feel like I’m still in it. Even though If I didn’t share it with the general public, it forced me back into the writing, to go to the studio and record something.

Then the host talked about the shoutout from Eminem on “EPMD 2“, and wondered if an Eminem cameo in the Power universe ever crossed Fifty’s mind. 50 Cent reveals not in Power universe, but he has other shows that he wants Eminem to participate in. “Em’s a different animal, you can’t really move him with money,” added Curtis. 50 Cent recently revealed that Eminem is all set to make a guest cameo in his show “BMF” as White Boy Rick.

Em mentions Fif on the track, which is one of the reasons Fif felt so connected to it. Em raps on the single, “I hit 50 via text / Told him that I love him ‘cuz I don’t even know when I’ma see him next.

When “EPMD 2” was initially released, 50 Cent uploaded a small clip of the song on Instagram to express his gratitude for the shoutout. He wrote, “No, you cannot front on this poem.” “You simply have to listen, shut up and listen.” Em didn’t only name-drop 50 Cent on the tune; he also paid tribute to the late MF Doom and ended his verse with allusions to rap legends.

50 Cent also reveals that if he texts Em right now for a collaboration, he would say yes, but it’s probably not happening.

50, who hasn’t released an album since ‘Animal Ambition’ in 2014, went on to say: “I feel like I’m still in it. Even if I don’t share it with the general public, it forced me back into writing, going to the studio and recording something.” Meanwhile, in 50 Cent’s upcoming Starz drama series BMF, Eminem will play FBI informant Richard Wershe Jr. (aka White Boy Rick) (Black Mafia Family).

Wershe was an FBI informant in the mid-1980s, having entered a Detroit gang as a teenager. He was eventually dropped by the FBI and, at the age of 17, was caught for cocaine possession and sentenced to life in prison, however he was paroled and freed last year at the age of 50.
