Watch Kevin Gates Releases New Single & Video President

Kevin Gates shares a new song “President”.

Kevin Gates continues putting out new material as he drops the first release of 2022. The Baton Rouge rapper shares a brand new song called “President” which comes with an accompanying music video. In the clip, Kevin is riding around the city in his car, meets fans outside a store and more.

“Pack the water, If it bubble then we got a problem kid / To much soda, Jumping over, Hold on when the water still / East Atlanta, Moving H town, right on boat of grass / There go n*t, you ain’t had the gas, yeah I f**k with that,” he rapped.

Gates is known for hopping online to show off his eccentric lifestyle and provide a few comments to his followers, but he returned with a new song and video for his track “President” on Tuesday (January 11). It’s a music he hinted on social media, and its release raises anticipation for his third studio album, Khaza, which will be released later this year. The project’s release date has yet to be announced, although there are suspicions that it may arrive sooner rather than later.

Kevin Gates’ album “Khaza” made its debut at number eight on the US Billboard 200 chart with 40,000 album-equivalent units, including 3,000 physical album sales, in its first week of release. This marked Gates’ fifth US top-10 album debut. Additionally, the album premiered at number four on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and number two on the US Top Rap Albums chart, earning him his twelfth and eleventh top-10 placement on these respective charts.

The video was directed by Marcell JB and TeamxIncome and features Gates traveling around the streets in a Rolls Royce as bird’s eye view pictures of the city he’s in are interwoven throughout. In simple words, Gates is playing like the boss he is, and he has no difficulty bragging about his accomplishments.

This follows up his previous offering “Who Want Smoke” Freestyle which dropped a couple of weeks back.

As the follow-up to his second studio album, 2019’s I’m Him, ‘Khaza’ is the Baton Rouge native’s first full-length release since 2021’s Only the Generals, Pt. II. In conjunction with the album’s release, Gates revealed details of his upcoming Big Lyfe Tour. Beginning on August 18 in Dallas, the three-month journey will also stop in Houston, Phoenix, Chicago, Boston, and Atlanta before coming to an end on October 14 in Pensacola, Florida.

The rapper’s third studio album “Khaza” released through Atlantic Records and Bread Winners’ Alumni. The album debuted and peaked at number eight on the US Billboard 200, moving 40,000 units in its first week.
