Vic Mensa & Chance The Rapper drops “Shelter” Acoustic Version.

After teasing it a few days ago, Vic Mensa returns with some new material as he teams up with his longtime collaborator Chance The rapper for the acoustic version of their song called “Shelter“. The original version which released a couple of months ago also features assistance from Wyclef Jean. The new version comes along with an official video which is directed by Chance The Rapper.

“Shelter” takes aim at the American system, which has a history of overcriminalization, racial injustice, and difficulties affecting individuals in underprivileged neighborhoods. The original version can be found on Mensa’s latest album, I Tape, which was released last month on Roc Nation and received immediate accolades from publications such as The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Okayplayer, Uproxx, Complex, and others.
