The original version of the song was released in May, which came out with an official vintage-style music video. In July, T-Pain also revealed that Kehlani will executive produce an album for him. “Me and Kehlani are actually working on a project together. She’s going to executive produce an album for me that’s just me and all female features. The tentative title right now is A Day Out With the Girls,” he told Complex.

He revealed a list of musicians he’ll be featuring in August and discussed the state of his highly anticipated album, stating, “I’ve pushed my own album back three times because I’m making sure everybody is good.” Ty Dolla Sign, Carnage, Murda Beatz, Kelly Rowland, and Erica Banks were among the artists featured on the track.

Last week, BIA released her new single “Besito” with G Herbo.

T-2007 Pain’s class “Buy U a Drank” was sampled in the original track, which was released in May. Following the release of the song, T-Pain and Kehlani released a western-themed music video, which was inspired by Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson’s 1983 “Say Say Say” video, in which the duo took over a ranch dressed as cowboys.

In the meanwhile, Kehlani confirmed last month that her third studio album, Blue Water Road, will be released this winter. The album will be the follow-up to Jhené Aiko, Masego, Lucky Daye, and James Blake’s It Was Good Until It Wasn’t, which was released in 2020.
