Saweetie drops the ‘Best Friend’ video with Doja Cat.
Saweetie returns with some new material as she teams up with Doja Cat for their new collaboration called “Best Friend” which was supposed to release last month. They also dropped the official video for it which is directed by Dave Meyers. The video also has a cameo from King Bach.
In the new video for “Best Friend,” Saweetie and Doja Cat speak out sexism and praise friendship. The song is released ahead of Saweetie’s upcoming album, Pretty Bi*ch Music, which is set to launch this spring.
The club-ready music starts with the couple resting poolside while a man hits on them. They communicate about misogyny and virtue signalling in a subtle way. Later in the colourful Dave Meyers-directed movie, they celebrate friendship by taking a ride in a bejewelled luxury automobile, going to the strip club, having a sleepover party, and more.
In November, Saweetie teamed up with Jhene Aiko for ‘Back To The Streets“. Saweetie explained that the title of her new album, Pretty Bi**h Music, was inspired by the feelings she was feeling while recording it. Timbaland, Danja, Lil John, Murda Beatz, and others will contribute to the album’s production.
