New Video Royce 5'9 Ft. Eminem - Caterpillar

Royce Da 5’9″ drops “Caterpillar” video with Eminem.

Royce 5’9 latest album Book of Ryan drops early in a few countries, from the album Royce 5’9 and Eminem’s “Caterpillar”. The music is available to stream. Listen to it below and Royce da 5’9″ album going to release on May 4th.

James Larese directed the music video, which was shot in black and white. Royce da 5’9″ and Eminem alternate rapping while the other “remains sombre” throughout the video.

Royce and Em attack the boom-bap beat with tremendous ferocity in the accompanying visual, which is veiled in a black and white tone. In the first stanza, Royce spits, “See there’s a difference between us, what I spit I hit arenas/You a drip from my penis, I eat lions and sip hyenas,” while he bounces around a stoic Eminem.
When Em’s turn comes, he radiates as always.

Shady spits in his chaotic flow, “Don’t tell me when I’m supposed to rap until/Especially when your favorite rapper ain’t even half as ill, a savage still, the track’s a banana peel.

The album will also have a bonus track version of the song, which will feature fellow singer Logic. In a statement, Royce said, “I just want the fans to hear my evolution as an artist as well as my evolution as a man and learn from my mistakes.” “I think Layers got a little of that, but Book of Ryan is me letting it all out.

The song has been interpreted as the comeback of the two rappers’ previous combo, Bad Meets Evil. The song was described as a “throwback record to the jazzy, aggressive rapping style of the ’90s, working as a vehicle for Royce and Em to display their lyrical talents” by Spin’s Israel Daramola. According to Billboard’s Mackenzie Cummings-Grady, “Royce and Em assault the boom-bap beat with fierce fury.” The song is described as an “almost five-minute show of rap callisthenics” by Ralph Bristout of Revolt.
