Lizzo Releases Her New Single & Video Rumors Feat. Cardi B

Lizzo drops a new song “Rumors” with Cardi B.

After teasing it for some time now, Lizzo makes her return to the music scene as the Detroit native teams up with Cardi B for her brand new single called “Rumors“. The song is produced by Tay Hawes and it comes along with an incredible Tanu Muino directed music video where the two stars Chanel Greek Goddesses and Cardi B Show off her baby bump. The song marks Lizzo’s first single since 2019’s Grammy-winning album “Cuz I Love You”.

This is a great record, everybody. It’s such a beautiful great record. And it’s such a fun vibe. I really feel this is what we needed, we like need a good vibes. It just make you wanna jam in the weddings. Make you wanna jam in the barbeque. I love this record,” said Cardi B.

Lizzo uploaded a video on Instagram this month revealing that Cardi was the featured artist on her new single and that the track was named “‘RUMORS’ Feat. Naturally, Cardi answered the phone, but Lizzo prepared some jokes for her followers, who may or may not have wished to see her collaborate with a former member of One Direction.

Lizzo said, “Good morning, motherf**ker. “That’s who it’s featuring y’all. Period. It’s Harry Styles.” Lizzo has often kept things lighthearted when it comes to true rumours this year. She even started her own rumour earlier this summer, claiming to be having a child with Chris Evans, a.k.a. Captain America.

Lizzo blasts down internet trolls and detractors creating rumors about anything from her personal life to her diet in the new track. The video opens with the Grammy winner dressed as a goddess in a sparkling gold dress, gladiator shoes, and tonnes of statement jewellery, striding through a scene reminiscent of ancient Greece, reminiscent of Disney’s 1997 animated blockbuster ‘Hercules.’
