Larry June & The Alchemist Announces New Joint Album The Great Escape

Larry June & The Alchemist shares a new song “89 Earthquake”.

Larry June and The Alchemist are joining forces for a brand new joint project called “The Great Escape”. The project is scheduled to drop on March 31, and the duo gave us another offering called “89 Earthquake”, a follow-up to last month’s “60 Days”.

“This that go hard, never quit (Man), flow so adequate (Numbers) / Figured how I sell that sh*t (Good job), I ain’t with the settlin’ / Had to get my mind right, I cut off the petty sh*t (Keep goin’) / I don’t feel right throwin’ ones, ni**as this realism,” raps June.

In the music video that accompanies the track, June and The Alchemist are depicted in opulent settings, such as playing chess on a private jet and cruising around town in classic cars. These scenes are intercut with footage of June in a corner store and various San Francisco neighborhoods, serving as a reminder of his humble beginnings.

The new project will follow up Larry June’s last year’s album “Spaceships on the Blade”, which also featured The Alchemist-produced track “Breakfast In Monaco”.
