KXNG Crooked & Joell Ortiz shares the new song “Vacancy”.
Earlier this week, KXNG Crooked and Joell Ortiz posted pictures of a burning pig, and fans started to think it’s the Slaughterhouse reunion album. Now it turned out to be an album just from Joell Ortiz and KXNG Crooked, and it is reportedly titled “Rise & Fall of Slaughterhouse”.

Now the duo joined forces for a brand new single called “Vacancy” which features assistance from Blakk Soul. The song comes along with a music video, which shows the fans burning Slaughterhouse merch.
“Royce said he ain’t doing the three man without Joe / But Joe said he retired so how the hell is supposed to go / I looked in the eyes of Crooked I and said one last time he said let’s go / So this one’s for the fans and anyone else who wants to know,” raps Ortiz.
“To bonding with the group I became partial / He didn’t start the group he can’t end it don’t blame Marshall / He didn’t start the group he can’t end it don’t blame Paul / And fans been there from the beginning can’t blame y’all,” raps Crooked.
The Long Beach/Brooklyn connection reflects on why their supergroup didn’t work out as planned, and tells fans not to hold Eminem or Shady Records co-founder Paul Rosenberg responsible for the group’s demise.
In the track, they also took over the group dynamics of the Slaughterhouse where they took shots at Joe Budden & Royce da 5’9″.
Despite not having a formal contract, the members of Slaughterhouse, specifically Joell and Crooked I, do not have complete freedom to act as they please. Joell compares the group’s decision-making process to a rectangular table where Royce and Joe Budden sit at the seats of distinction (head and tail), giving them more authority to make group decisions. If it were a roundtable, every member would have an equal say and an equal footing.
The duo previously collaborated on the joint project “H.A.R.D.” in 2020. Watch the new video below.
