Drake Releases New “National Treasures” Music Video From ICEMAN
Drake is continuing the rollout for his new album, ICEMAN, by releasing another official music video, this time for the song “National Treasures.”
The visual dropped shortly after Drake surprised fans by releasing three albums at once, ICEMAN, Habibti, and Maid Of Honour. Since the albums arrived, fans have been closely watching every new video and lyric for hidden meanings and possible references.
The “National Treasures” video has a dark and cinematic look throughout. Drake appears inside a large concrete building surrounded by people wearing matching black outfits. The visual gives off a serious and dramatic atmosphere, matching the tone of the song.
“Out in the 6, I’m a national treasure / The ni–as that back me gon’ back me forever / R.I.P. Kobe, but y’all ni–as brokie / That’s probably why y’all be shackin’ together / Capo and Lita got habits together / Like couples vacation, they packin’ together / Like rushin’ to finish, they’ll slap it together / The charge is like COVID, they’ll catch it together,” he raps.
“They hate me so much, it’s a sickenin’ thing / They must’vе heard wrong on the call / I sent ‘еm a sack ’cause I wanted you shipped to the king / When you was a part of the team.”
The video keeps things simple compared to some of Drake’s bigger productions, but fans are already praising the visuals for their clean cinematography and intense vibe.
“National Treasures” is one of the standout songs from ICEMAN, which many listeners believe is Drake’s most focused rap project in years. The album comes after a major year for Drake following his viral rap battle with Kendrick Lamar in 2024.
