Nipsey Hussle drops debut album “Victory Lap” feat Diddy, Kendrick Lamar & others.

Nipsey Hussle continues dropping new material as he decided to release his debut album “Victory Lap“. The album contains 16 records with guest appearances from Diddy, Kendrick Lamar, YG, The-Dream, and more.

After originally being announced in 2013, this project has been in the works for over four years. Neighborhood Nip has already added the Crenshaw project to his CV and lived true to his moniker by selling the tape for $100 each in a campaign titled Proud 2 Pay. Jay-Z took note and purchased 100 copies of the album from GP. In 2014, Nipsey released Mailbox Money as a follow-up.

The 32-year-old celebrated the release of Victory Lap with an album release concert at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on Thursday night. To the pleasure of fans, the “Ocean Views” singer pulled out a slew of famous guests, including Puff Daddy, YG, Sacramento’s Mozzy, and Marsha Ambrosius.

Victory Lap opened at #4 on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States, with 53,000 album-equivalent units and 30,000 conventional album sales in its first week. This is Hussle’s first chart-topping album. The album debuted at number three on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums list in the United States. In April 2019, the album hit a new peak of number two on the US Billboard 200, garnering 66,000 album-equivalent units (with 17,000 in traditional album sales) following Hussle’s death on March 31, 2019.
