Dreamville & DJ Drama Releases New Project D-Day A Gangsta Grillz Mixtape

Dreamville and DJ Drama drop a new project “D-Day: A Gangsta Grillz Mixtape”.

This week, the Dreamville festival is making its return, and to celebrate it, the J. Cole led label has dropped a surprise compilation project. Dreamville linked up with DJ Drama for a new Gangsta Grillz Mixtape called “D-Day”.

The “D-Day: A Gangsta Grillz Mixtape” contains 15 tracks, with music from the entire Dreamville roster, including J. Cole, Bas, JID, EarthGang, Cozz, Omen, Ari Lennox and Lute. The project also features guest appearances which come from ASAP Ferg, 2 Chainz, Reason, Young Nudy, Sheck Wes, G Perico and more.

The label boss Cole contributes in three tracks, “Stick”, “Freedom of Speech”, and the previously-released “Heaven’s EP” song over Drake’s “Pipe Down” beat.

With the second annual Dreamville Festival due to go off on Saturday and run through Sunday, the ‘Ville announced on social media that DJ Drama will be hosting another collaboration tape for the label, involving artists from the label’s roster.

The full Dreamville Fest will be available for streaming on Amazon Music’s Hip-Hop and R&B station Rotation. Tim Hinshaw, Amazon Music’s head of hip-hop and R&B, expressed his delight at the prospect of this collaboration.

“In just a few short years, J. Cole has made Dreamville Festival into one of the preeminent hip-hop moments of the year, hosting performances from the hottest up-and-coming artists and established talents,” he said. “We at Rotation have worked to make Amazon Music the home for these kinds of activations and I can’t wait to bring Dreamville Festival into the homes of hip-hop and R&B fans around the globe.”
