Buddy releases the new album “Superghetto”.
Buddy continues putting out new material as he finally releases his brand new album “Superghetto”. The project is a follow up to his 2018’s debut effort “Harlan & Alondra.” In 2020, Buddy teamed up with Kent Jamz for the collaborative project Janktape Vol. 1.
The project contains 10 tracks, with guest appearances from Tinashe on “Ghetto 24”, Blxst on “Wait Too Long”, T-Pain on “Happy Hour”, and Ari Lennox on “Coolest Things”.
“It’s more about the essence [of] growing up in the hood,” Buddy told Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 upon announcing Superghetto last month. “I’m from there, so its in me not on me and I take it everywhere I go. Everyone else just has to conform to the energy I’m bringing to the table. That’s what the album sounds like. My experience, from my perspective…the beat selection…it’s a bunch of different flows and cadences.”
