Big Sean drops the “Lithuania” video.
Big Sean continues releasing new material as he teams up with Travis Scott for the official visual for their song called “Lithuania“. The track appeared on his new star-studded album called “Detroit 2“.
“Lithuania,” which was produced by Hit-Boy and Audio Anthem, focuses more on what Travis does best: layering autotuned melodies over hypnotic and semi-hallucinatory instrumentals. Nonetheless, Sean waxes lyrical about how far he’s gone, having reached a point where he can discuss whether or not he needs to go through mandatory baggage claim. He free-falls on an elevator in the video, and the hotel hallways have references to Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining. Given Travis’ ability to thrive at what he does and a specific beat-drop around the 1:35 mark, the song is certain to be a smashing success.
“Lithuania” comes after “Harder Than My Demons” and the album trailer that doubled as a video for “Don Life” (just without the Lil Wayne feature). The Travis collaboration is perhaps one of the most memorable on the record in terms of creating unforgettable memories. Sean also brought together ten of his favourite Detroit emcees for a “Friday Night Cypher,” as well as Dave Chappelle, Erykah Badu, and Stevie Wonder for “Story” interludes.
Young Thug, the late Nipsey Hussle, Ty Dolla Sign, Eminem, and others appear in Detroit 2, which is currently available on streaming sites. Sean released the official video for the album cut “Harder Than My Demons” last month.
