Dave East drops the video for “Crash Out” with Trae Tha Truth.
Dave East made his return with the first project of this year, as he dropped “How Did I Get Here?” last night. The short 9 track EP features guest appearances from Anthony Hamilton, Method Man, Benny the Butcher, and more. The rapper now enlists Trae Tha Truth for the official video for their collaboration “Crash Out”.
The music video is shot by FredFocus, and the duo rides around New York City and spits their verses in the alleys.
With “Deeper Than Love,” a sugary track featuring vocalist Musiq Soulchild, East taps into that bag, and it’s one of the rapper’s stronger attempts at catering to that portion of his fan base. Anthony Hamilton contributes his harsh vocals to “John Lennon,” Kalan.Frfr (“No Cocaine”) among others. Benny The Butcher and Steve Young tack bars on “Don’t Let Me Down,” which finds the group delivering a trinity of stanzas over a Mike & Keys-produced background. The Harlemite concludes the proceedings with the aptly titled “Gregory Hines,” a tune East saunters through with finesse, adding yet another outstanding effort to his career.
