Usher pulls April Fools Prank at Dreamville Fest 2023.
The Dreamville Fest 2023 kicked off on Saturday in Raleigh, North Carolina, and as announced, Usher was one of the star performers on day one. While performing his set, the “Yeah” hitmaker decided to have fun on April 1st as he pulled off a prank on the crowd.
The R&B star told the audience that he has a special guest, who’s none other than Queen Bey. “As promised, we have a special guest tonight for you,” he said. “Ladies & gentlemen, without further ado, please put your hands together for the one, the only, Beyonce.”
The crowd went ballistic before realising something was wrong, as Usher was looking back at his staff. After the confusion for a bit, Usher took the mic and said in a low voice “April Fool’s”.

Towards the end of Usher’s headlining set, which covered his entire career, there was some solace for the audience as he surprised them with a guest appearance from City Girls, who performed alongside him on their collaborative track “Good Love.”
On day 1 of the festival, other star performers include Lil Durk, Ari Lennox, City Girls, Sean Paul, Jessie Reyez and more. Drake will be headlining the show with J. Cole on Sunday.
