The Weeknd Shouts Out Eminem & Jay-Z in his New Song Snowchild

The Weeknd shouts out Eminem & Jay-Z.

The Weeknd has finally released his new album “After Hours” last night which has already topped all the streaming charts. The 14 track project also contains a track called ‘Snowchild‘ where The Weeknd shouted out Rap legends Eminem and Jay-Z.

In the second verse, The Weeknd sings, “So I keep on falling for her daily, We was at Coachella going brazy, Stack a couple M’s like I was Shady, Now I’m in Tribeca like I’m Jay-Z“.

The Weeknd appears in the video as an animated character, and many believe the film contains several references to his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez. On Selena Gomez’s birthday, July 22, the single was released. An animated version of The Weeknd can be seen surrounded by a lot of balloons in a snippet from the Snowchild music video shared by one of the fans. Selena Gomez has a comparable photo that was shot on one of her prior birthdays, according to the user.

With 444,000 album-equivalent units and 275,000 pure album sales, After Hours opened at number one on the US Billboard 200. It’s The Weeknd’s fourth number-one album, and it has the most first-week sales of any album released in 2020. Furthermore, following the album’s first week of release, all 14 songs charted on the US Billboard Hot 100, with ten of them reaching the top 40, lead by “Blinding Lights” at number one and “In Your Eyes” at number 16, with “Blinding Lights” debuting at number one. With 138,000 album-equivalent units sold, including 47,000 pure album sales, the album remained at number one on the Billboard 200 in its second week.
