Summer Walker Calls Out London On Da Track For Taking Credit Of Her New Album

Summer Walker responds to London On Da Track’s claims about her album.

Last week, Summer Walker dropped her brand new album “Still Over It”, a follow-up to her debut effort “Over It” from 2019. Summer Walker unfolds some revelations about her relationship with producer London On Da Track and also called out his mother. The project is on pace to debut at #1 on Billboard 200, and Walker’s ex-boyfriend is taking the credit for it. “London on Da Track the first ni–a in history to get paid off his own diss album,” he requotes a user on his IG after fans dragged him for treating the Atlanta singer badly.

Even though London is credited on multiple tracks on “Still Over It” album, Summer Walker denied his involvement and claimed that he just attached his name over other people’s work. “He didn’t WRITE sh*t and he didn’t PRODUCE sh-t either,” wrote Summer on theshaderoom IG post about London On Da Track. “He just handpicked the ni–as he wanted to do all the work and attached his name to it while he was out screwin ho-s while I was PREGNANT. The most he did was sprinkle a wind chime effect on a song that was already done then put his name on it, the last album he actually did the work, and it was great project. He super talented, but for this album, lol no sir, but I guess guess the city boys is up, taking credit for ish you ain’t do and not actually having to take care of the kids you made. Lol ima go back to minding my business, this just triggered the hell out me [sad face emoji].”

Despite the fact that Walker has been extensively marketing her sophomore album, Still Over It, this is the second time she’s had to halt and correct false information. Following claims that she had signed a poor deal with LVRN, she told supporters that the terms of her original contract had long since altered. “I’ve been seeing a lot of chatter online,” the “Deep” vocalist wrote. “I didn’t say anything because I wanted to say focused on releasing my album. Now let me clear the air. What that article said is not my current record deal. Over the years, my deal has changed many times. I’ve always had my own representation and full support from LVRN.”

Summer Walker’s new album “Still Over It” featured guest appearances from Lil Durk, Cardi B, Ciara, Pharrell, Omarion, Ari Lennox and more. The project is expected to move over 200k equivalent units in the first week, the biggest from a female R&B artist since Beyonce’s 2016 album “Lemonade”.

Walker had planned to launch her second album on the BET Hip Hop Awards red carpet in early October. Walker had complained loudly about COVID-19 limits two months previously, but they prevented her from attending.

Despite all the turmoil that occurred behind the scenes, Summer’s sophomore album connected with a lot of listeners and broke a lot of records when it was released last week. It was the biggest debut for both an R&B album and an LP by a female artist on Apple Music. All 20 tracks from the project are now between No. 1 and No. 22 on the All-Genre Top Songs list, while the project is currently No. 1 in 40 markets on Apple Music and five markets on iTunes. It is anticipated to gain between 180k and 210k EAUs in its first week and will probably hold the top position.

Still over With 166,000 album-equivalent units, it went to number one on the US Billboard 200 on November 20, 2021, marking Summer Walker’s first number-one album and the first R&B album by a woman to reach that position since Beyoncé’s Lemonade in 2016. With nearly 201.1 million views of the album’s songs, it also had the biggest R&B album premiere week of 2021 and the highest streaming numbers for a female R&B album.

It also had the best opening week for an R&B album in 2021, as well as the highest streaming stats for a female R&B album, with over 201.1 million streams of the album’s tracks. With all 20 tracks debuted in the top 100 of the South African Music Chart in the week ending November 18, 2021, the album set a new record for the most concurrent singles on the chart.

Summer’s new album details her tumultuous relationship with her ex-husband, who gave birth to their daughter in March. “I know you ain’t care / ‘Cause you always gone / How could you make me spend my whole fu**ing pregnancy alone?” she sings on “4th Baby Mama.” “And where was you at? / ‘Cause you claim you at work / But them other ni**as said they made the beats / So how that add up?”

Summer Walker is rejoicing over the huge success of her first album, “Over It”. The talented artist took to Instagram to announce that the album has been awarded a double platinum certification. She expressed her gratitude to her fans, saying, “I was presented with my double platinum plaque last night. Thank you all for your support, you guys are incredible.”

This double platinum recognition follows Summer’s recent return to performing. In partnership with Amazon Music, she took part in a “Black Culture Is..” event during Black History Month. During the first performance, she generously shared her stage with Saucy Santana who wowed the crowd with his rendition of “Walk.” On the second night, Summer shocked her fans by bringing out SZA to perform “No Love”.

Despite the fact that Walker has been extensively marketing her sophomore album, Still Over It, this is the second time she’s had to halt and correct false information.
