The Weeknd drops his new album “Dawn FM”.
Following a short rollout of less than a week, The Weeknd has released his brand new fifth studio album “Dawn FM”. The Canadian artist kicks off 2022 with his new project, a follow up to his 2020’s record-breaking effort “After Hours“.
The new album includes 16 tracks with the previously released single “Take My Breath”. The album features assistance from Jim Carrey, Quincy Jones, Tyler, the Creator, Lil Wayne and Oneohtrix Point Never.

Jim Carrey, who also contributes to the project, says, “I listened to Dawn FM with my good friend Abel @theweeknd last night. It was deep and elegant and it danced me around the room. I’m thrilled to play a part in his symphony.”
Dawn FM takes a new turn at this moment. ‘Here We Go… Again’ is completely contemporary, with lyrics mentioning the Super Bowl and the Weeknd’s startling admission that his “new girl, she’s a movie star.” Tyler, The Creator’s no-nonsense lyricism cuts through The Weeknd’s supposedly freeform, beat-less delivery, and we realise it’s leading up to the following set of tracks. ‘Best Friends’ dives into the trappings of the friends-with-benefits relationship, while ‘Is There Someone Else?’ has a relentless bassline as the artist tears himself apart with questions.
The album is released after a “103.5 Dawn FM” live stream on Amazon Music and Twitch. Check out the album below.
