Now Steve Carell, who plays the lead voice role of Felonious Gru, reacts to Eminem’s post. “Minions got my back [laughs], this is Eminem’s actual Twitter handle. That’s pretty funny. I like that, that’s good,” he said. “I appreciate the shout-out. It’s not to me but it’s for the Gang. That’s really funny. That’s good.”

“Minions: The Rise of Gru” is now in theatres worldwide and is the second part of 2015’s movie Minions. It is directed by Kyle Balda and will see Steve Carell’s return as Gru, Pierre Coffin as the Minions, and Taraji P. Henson, Michelle Yeoh, RZA, Jean-Claude Van Damme and more.
“One shot. One opportunity,” the rapper Eminem wrote when he posted the trailer (see above). ITime to show the world who’s mini boss.” . Gru is referred to by the Minions as “mini boss” in the film. The clip includes “Lose Yourself,” an iconic Eminem song from 2002. Although Eminem’s music has been used in movies before (see the montage below), this is the first instance of a PG-rated film including it.
