Slipknot’s Corey Taylor Shades Kanye West for $200 Stem Player.
Kanye West’s new album “Donda 2” was released last month but on the usual streaming platforms. The rapper introduces his new music gadget Stem Player, and the album was exclusively dropped on it. Ye faced backlash for releasing the project on Stem Player, which cost over $200. Slipknot’s Corey Taylor now also slams the rapper for charging $200 for his new album.
Slipknot’s frontman recently had an interview with Metro, where he was asked about Kanye West’s Stem Player. “You’re assuming that the audience has the access and same technology that you have but you’re a f**king moron for doing that,” he said. “Are you serious? It doesn’t work that way. The thinking that that’s a smart thing to do just shows you how convoluted and off the f**king property Kanye West really is… When you’ve got that much money and that much people around you telling you exactly what you want to hear, your concept of reality just goes right out the f**king window.”
“People can’t afford their f**king apartments for f**ks sake. It’s not right,” he said about people’s situation due to ongoing pandemic. “It’s just so pompous and ridiculous. If we [Slipknot] did that, we would be f**king demonised but I guarantee people are looking at him like he’s a genius, and it’s like for f**ks sake, pull your head out of your a*s, put it on CDs and just f**king give it to people. If you want to do that, put it together in a way that people can actually listen to it. It’s such f**king horsesh*t.”
However, after releasing Donda 2 on Stem Player, Kanye West failed to make it to Billboard 200 chart, as he violated their merchandise bundle policy.
