Russell Westbrook crowned Nipsey Hussle as the greatest rapper ever.
Russell Westbrook recently took part in a social media bracket game with his wife Nina Westbrook, in which the basketball star picked the greatest rapper of all time, from a wide range of emcees.
In the end, Westbrook picked Nipsey Hussle over JAY-Z as the greatest rapper of all time. He first chooses the late Nipsey over the likes of Eminem, Nas and Lil Wayne.
The full bracket includes rappers like Ludacris, Ice Cube, Redman, Busta Rhymes, Ghostface Killah, Mos Def, Missy Elliott, Lupe Fiasco, Dr. Dre, Biggie and 50 Cent.

Nipsey Hussle was shot outside his Marathon Clothing store in South Los Angeles on March 31, 2019. Eric Holder, a man who interacted with the rapper earlier that day, was arrested two days later on charges of murder. He was found guilty of first-degree murder last month on July 6, 2022.
Last year, he was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on his what would’ve been 37th Birthday. “Happy birthday, Hussle. Thank you for acknowledging a visionary,” said Lauren London at the event. “I think I speak for the entire city of L.A. when I say that we’ve always known Hussle was destined for greatness, this moment only amplifies that for us. Nip would have been honoured by this moment. I think he would want everyone to remember that you can’t get to what’s possible unless you commit to moving forward.” “That doesn’t mean forgetting where you come from but it requires acknowledging the reality you were born into and the power you have to change that reality for the better.”
