Royce Da 5’9″ teases songs possibly from vaulted Slaughterhouse album “Glass House”.
Ever since the recent feud between Royce Da 5’9″ and Lupe Fiasco, a strong possibility of a Slaughterhouse reunion ignites. The Slaughterhouse member, Joell Ortiz, and KXNG Crooked recently had a conversation on Twitter where the duo talks about the possible group reunion. In a recent live stream, KXNG Crooked also said that the fans deserve another Slaughterhouse album. “I know a lot of people online want to see the back and forth, and that’s cool too. So half of me, ‘I am with you’, it is on that level too because I know what he can do. He is a killer. And the other half of me is like… more positive works for me these days. Because I am older. We could take that energy all the way to the Slaughterhouse reunion,” said Crooked.
Crooked said that the group members need to have a serious conversation on a phone call. After that, Joe Budden played an unreleased “Glass House” record on his Podcast, but the song only had the Joell Ortiz part. Now Royce took to IG to share an unreleased slaughterhouse joint, which has KXNG Crooked going ham. In the comment section, Crooked wrote, “3 down 1 to go,” hinting at Joe Budden. Along with that, Royce also shared some more teasers, which we’re not sure if it’s from the Slaughterhouse project or some other solo record.
Slaughterhouse has never broken up in public before, but it’s been seven years since their previous album, House Rules. They did feature together on Royce’s June 2017 tune “Chopping Block,” although the song appeared to be from a previous recording session. They announced a new album called Glass House a few years ago, but there has been little information about it, and it now appears to be cancelled.
“Rise & Fall of Slaughterhouse”, which has been hotly debated based on just two tracks, is now accessible in its entirety. Joell Ortiz, KXNG Crooked, and Tony Bucher executive produce “Rise & Fall of Slaughterhouse.” Only three of the album’s thirteen tracks include guest artists: “Vacancy” with Blakk Soul, “Coastin'” with Traxx Sanders, and “Flood Waters” with Sly Pyper. The album debuted at No. 4 on the US iTunes Hip Hop Chart just hours after its release.
The third single and images chosen for promotion have nothing to do with the Slaughterhouse era. However, it might have a significant impact on Kxng Crooked and Joell Ortiz’s future.
Check out the teasers below.
