J. Cole gets praised for his educational accomplishments.
J. Cole is regarded as one of the best rappers of this generation, and also one of the names in Spotify RapCaviar’s “Mt. Rushmore of 2010s Rap.” Not only in rap, but Jermaine also achieved many accomplishments in the educational field. The Frankfurt born rapper graduated from St. John’s University in 2007 with a 4.2 GPA, which claimed to be the highest among rappers. He also holds a degree in Communication & Bussiness.
A picture of J. Cole‘s educational achievements was shared online, which also received praise from Royce da 5’9″ and T.I. “J. Cole graduated high school with a 4.2 GPA, he accepted a scholarship to St. John’s University, was the president of a Pan-African Student Coalition in college and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in communications and business,” the post reads. “It’s cool to be smart,” said Royce. “Hard [Crown Emoji],” wrote T.I.
Meanwhile, DaBaby responded to a post about rappers’ high school GPAs and claimed that his reported 1.8 marks are wrong.
Cole’s ethic has undoubtedly contributed to his status as a rap legend, and he brings that same professionalism to other aspects of life, whether it’s in the classroom or on the basketball court as a strong hooper.
The 36-year-old isn’t about to relinquish his Hip Hop supremacy anytime soon. Cole earned another platinum plaque in January for The Off-Season cut “a m a r i” after being selected to RapCaviar’s 2010s rap Mount Rushmore, while also receiving two 2022 NAACP Image Award nominations.
Royce da 5’9″ sent J. Cole his roses on Twitter after Dreamville’s new album D-Day: A Gangsta Grillz Mixtape was released, saying the North Carolina rapper had an advantage over the finest rappers of his generation.
“Ready to talk about EarthGang now?” Royce wrote. “Matter of fact…The WHOLE Dreamville…They ready for the Zombie Apocalypse out this bi**h.” “Cole as an executive separates him from that 3 headed monster convo y’all been having for the last 10 yrs,” Royce said. “Put some respek on my brother’s name.”

In 2018, Royce da 5’9″ and J. Cole collaborated on the song titled “Boblo Boat“, which arrived with a music video with direction from the Dreamville boss. In an interview, Royce revealed Cole helped clearing the sample “A Day in the Park” by Michał Urbaniak, which was written in 1978 and appeared on Urbaniak’s album Ecstasy. “I have had some sample issues though, but I’m usually made privy to that part of the process if there’s a problem,” Royce said. “So I had a song with J. Cole called ‘Boblo Boat.’ It was really hard to clear that sample. Cole actually had to get on the phone with the guy who owned it and sweet talk him. He ended up being really cool though, really cool.”
