Doja Cat is projected to debut in the Billboard Top 10 with new album Scarlet first week sales.
This week, Doja Cat finally released her brand new album as she puts out her fourth studio effort “Scarlet“, a follow-up to 2021’s “Planet Her”. The new Doja Cat album Scarlet is projected to debut among the top 10 with the first week sales.
According to HDD, Scarlet is expected to move around 50-55k equivalent album units in the first week. The projections are a decline from Doja’s previous album sales, as Planet Her debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 with 109,000 first-week sales.

However, Doja Cat is rocking Spotify, as she currently has over 70 million monthly listeners on the platform. Her single “Paint The Town Red“ recently peaked at #1 on the Hot 100 chart, and now earns the biggest streaming day ever for a female rap song on Spotify with 9.14 million streams. Paint the Town Red topped the charts in 19 countries, including Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, Switzerland, the United Kingdom. It also became the fastest solo female rap song to gain 100 million streams. It also received a nomination at 66th Annual Grammy Awards for Best Pop Solo Performance.
