According to HitsDailyDouble, Beyonce’s new album aims for #1 debut on Billboard 200 with 275-315K album-equivalent units in the first week. The album will be the first #1 effort from a female in 2022 in the US. The project also earns the biggest debut day for any female album in 2022 on Global Spotify with over 50 million streams on July 29.

The 16-track album featured contributions from Drake, Jay-Z, Pharrell, Hit-Boy, The-Dream, Skrillex, Lucky Daye, Sabrina Claudio, Tems, Raphael Saadiq and more.

Beyonce’s previous album “Lemonade”, topped Billboard 200 with 653,000 additional album-equivalent units in the first week, including 485,000 copies in its first week of sales.

Renaissance has established himself as a key player on streaming platforms. The album has already surpassed all predictions with 170 million listens in the United States alone, becoming Spotify’s most played album by a female artist in a single day. Compared to Bey’s two back-to-back surprise albums released in 2013 and 2016, Renaissance’s buildup was more conventional. “Break My Soul,” the album’s debut track, was first previewed on Insta before being made public in June.

Beyoncé released a statement on Friday to apologize for the leak and thank the fans for their patience while the album was being properly enjoyed after it had been illegally leaked abroad and then put on the internet. “So, the album leaked, and you all actually waited until the proper release time so you all can enjoy it together,” she wrote. “I’ve never seen anything like it. I can’t thank y’all enough for your love and protection. I appreciate you for calling out anyone that was trying to sneak into the club early. It means the world to me. Thank you for your unwavering support. Thank you for being patient.”
