A new video of DaBaby’s 2018 shooting incident surfaces online.
Just the other day, DaBaby was in the headlines again for fighting with his own label’s artist Wisdom at a concert backstage. Now a never seen footage of DaBaby killing Jaylin Craig in 2018 surfaces online, after his claims of self-defence. Baby previously claimed that Craig and his friend Henry Douglas threatened him and his family at Charlotte, NC Walmart.
“Daughter could have got hit, son could have got hit,” DaBaby said on IG after the event. “Lawyers … telling me not to say nothing … But two [people] walk down on you and your whole … family, threatening y’all, whip out [a gun] on y’all, let me see what y’all going to do.”
Now the footage shows that Craig was putting down his gun, before DaBaby pulls out his own firearm, and shot him in the side. Jaylin Craig was declared dead in the Walmart less than an hour later.
The fight shows them both straining against each other, with Craig reaching for a weapon a second time before attempting to separate the rapper and Craig. DaBaby’s then-girlfriend, Mariah Osbourne, approaches Craig, extending her right hand to his face shortly before the two brawl.
The video then returns to its original viewpoint, displaying DaBaby crawling into the screen with a revolver in his right hand. He then seems to shoot at Craig, who is not visible in the footage at the moment.
DaBaby shot and killed 19-year-old Jaylin Craig in 2018, a shooting the rapper claims was in self-defense.
New security footage obtained by Rolling Stone shows that DaBaby appears to be the aggressor, and contradicts key aspects of his version of events. https://t.co/TGZjJ0Da6o pic.twitter.com/M7kbKur3U9

The rapper was never charged with the murder but only convicted of carrying a concealed gun in connection to the incident. He was on 12 months probation and a suspended jail sentence.
