YoungBoy Never Broke Again previously slammed his label after his newest mixtape, Colors, was allegedly pulled from an Apple Music chart.
YB used the community tab on his YouTube profile to publish a comment in which he attacked Atlantic Records for supposedly pulling his mixtape off the Apple Music chart. The rapper from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, also alleged that he is being blackballed by the label. The project is still accessible via the streaming service.
“Why black ball me I’m the good guy,” he wrote in his since-deleted missive, which was reposted on his subReddit page. “I was going #1 two weeks straight with a mixtape so they took it down off the charts[.] I don’t give a f**k you still can’t stop me.”
However, a recent check of his YouTube channel yields no music videos, with no explanation provided. The only voice recordings are from projects like Sincerely, Kentrell, Top, 38 Baby 2, AI YoungBoy 2, and others.
YoungBoy’s YouTube popularity extends beyond his 10.1 million followers. The Wall Street Journal refers to NBA YoungBoy as the “largest musician on YouTube” in 2020, noting his release of 11 music videos on YouTube in 2018 and 2019, which surpassed 100 million views. He is currently the platform’s No. 1 artist, with the late Young Dolph, Rod Wave, Adele, and Drake.
