Big Sean’s latest album, Detroit 2, is 71 minutes long and contains 21 songs. After the release of “I Decided” in 2017, this is his first full-length studio album. With the release of the 21-track album, rap fans have also been treated to a star-studded rap track titled “Friday Night Cypher” by Sean.
Big Sean goes farther on “Friday Night Cypher” and pulls together fourteen Detroit natives—eleven rappers and three producers—to praise Detroit in a similar way to how Eminem collaborated with six Detroiters on 2014’s “Detroit vs. Everybody.”
The track titled “Friday Night Cypher” features Eminem, Royce Da 5’9 along with other Detroit Rappers Tee Grizzley, Kash Doll, Cash Kidd, Payroll, 42 Dugg, Boldy James, Diego, and Sada Baby. The music production is handled by legendary Hit-Boy.
More specifically, the 32-year-old explained that the song is about a scene in “Detroit 2” where the entire city gets together, including people who are alleged to have beef or misunderstandings.
During Eminem’s verse, he raps: “Bi**h, you have never said a clever line ever/ You murdering in the booth is the furthest thing from the truth/ Rest assured, I’ma treat this roof like I’m peelin’ off/ The plastic on a pill bottle, I’m tearin’ the ceilin’ off.”
Em stresses again & again that his competitors are nothing compared to him, claiming that their rap talents are poor, as mentioned in “Kick Off (Freestyle)”: In other songs, including “The Adventures of Moon Man & Slim Shady,” “Majesty,” and “Chloraseptic (Remix),” Em preaches lyrically that rappers aren’t as talented as him.
In contrast to his opponents, Em says he’ll “blow the roof” off his recording studio because of his unrivalled rap skills—while doing so, he uses the words “sealing” and “ceiling.” Em may have also said in 2019’s feature, “Lord Above,” that his booth doesn’t have a ceiling owing to his exceptional rapping talents.
Slim Shady’s typical comic lines feel perfectly at home over the multi-produced tune that borrows Clipse classic “Grindin,” dropping witty analogies and playing with an army of syllables.

Also, Big Sean also talks about his respect for Eminem and Love for his city. In the previous collaboration of “Detroit Vs Everybody” Big Sean Raps, “This is just part one, wait ’til the sequel, lil’ b**ch!” which features the project, Shady XV.
