Lil Nas X announces debut album “Montero” release date.
After giving us several hit singles, Lil Nas X has finally announced the release date for his debut album “Montero“. He took to his social media to reveal that his highly anticipated album will release on 17th September, along with a trailer featuring unreleased music. He already dropped the title track back in March, along with a controversial music video.
“creating this album has been therapy for me. i’ve learned to let go of trying to control people’s perception of who i am, what i can do, and where i will be. i’ve realized the only opinion of me that really matters is my own,” he wrote in the announcement.
Montero will feature the rapper’s most recent hit, “Industry Baby,” as well as his previous two singles, “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” and “Sun Goes Down.” The album comes after Lil Nas X’s 7 EP, which was released in 2019.
On the YouTube series Kerwin Frost Talks, Lil Nas X recently revealed the making of his album. During the hour-long interview, the rapper stated that he isn’t simply interested in making attention-getting visuals, but also wants to make meaningful music.
Lil Nas recently became the male rapper with the most monthly listeners on Spotify, by dethroning DaBaby. He is currently rocking the charts with his latest collaboration with Jack Harlow “Industry Baby“.
