Lil Durk teases new albums with Metro Boomin and Lil Baby.
Last Week, Lil Durk dropped the deluxe edition of his latest album “7220“. The original version earned him his second #1 album on Billboard 200 with 120,500 album-equivalent units. The deluxe version is also expected to earn him good numbers, as it is projected to move 75k copies this week.
The rapper now sat down with Ebro Darden for Apple Music in Los Angeles, ahead of his live performance for the platform. During the conversation, the Chicago artist confirmed his rumoured collaborative album with producer Metro Boomin. “As far as the next album, you must’ve heard something? Nah, it’s really the Metro [Boomin],” he said. “Guaranteed.”

The rapper was also asked about more music with Lil Baby, with whom he teamed up for “The Voice of The Heroes” album in 2021, which was his first-ever Billboard number 1 project. “We was vibing so crazy in the studio, we had to. We was just in that zone. He who he is, he turned up and actually can rap. He ended up rapping his ass off, I’m changing my energy,” Durk said. “Matter of fact, we both made each other start writing, too. We got so many records that we ain’t put on there. I would do another one. Sure.”
Lil Durk reminisced on his first Billboard 200 No. 1 album, The Voice of the Heroes, which he co-wrote with Lil Baby in 2021. Durk is open to the idea of performing another collaboration effort in the future after a tour together and evident synergy in the studio. “‘Hold on.’ So that’s like the energy you would want. You would want that energy. We got so many records that we ain’t put on there.”
This upcoming Friday, Smurk will also join forces with Cardi B and Kanye West for a new collaboration “Hot Sh*t“.
