Kendrick Lamar Wins 'Best Rap Album' For 'Mr. Morale & Big Steppers' At Grammy Awards 2023

Kendrick Lamar wins multiple awards at Grammys 2023.

Kendrick Lamar was nominated in 8 categories this year at the Grammys, and the rapper took home the honour for three categories. The 65th annual Grammy Awards took place tonight at Crypto Arena in Los Angeles, California, where Kendrick Lamar made an appearance as he collects the award for Best Rap Album.

The rapper won the honour for his latest album “Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers“, by beating DJ Khaled’s “God Did,” Pusha T’s “It’s Almost Dry“. Future’s  “I Never Liked You“ Jack Harlow’s “Come Home the Kids Miss You“ The rapper took the stage in Martine Rose x Nike Shox, as he was given the award by Cardi B.

“First and foremost, I want to thank my family for giving me the courage and, you know, the vulnerability to share these stories and share my truth with this album,” he said before calling his latest album his ‘toughest record’.

“You know as artists, we all entertainers, stupid. And we say things to provoke thoughts and feelings and emotions. So making this record was one of my toughest records to make; and it allowed me to do that and it allowed me to share other people’s experiences.”

He also won the awards for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance for his incredible track “The Heart Part 5“. Lamar is now the rapper with third most Grammy Awards (17 and counting), as the only two ahead of him are Jay-Z and Kanye West with 24 each.
